Argentina’s public debt increased by $103.5 billion

Between December 2015 and September 2019, the net increase in public debt in foreign currency was $ 103.8 billion and the risk capital flight was $ 93.66 billion, according to a report from the CTA Research and Training Center (Cifra- CTA). This means an average of $ 32.5 billion per year, a record in more than four decades, indicates the study comparing the four years of Mauricio Macri’s government with the period from the military dictatorship to subsequent democratic governments. The figure triples the emission rate of $ 7.2 billion annually recorded between 1976 and 2001. During the dictatorship, at constant values, it had been $ 10.3 billion and at the other end, during Kirchnerism they were $ 921 million.
