Argentina has $45bn in reserves, says Argentina’s finance minister

Argentina Minister of Finance, Hernán Lacunza, said that the incumbent Government comes to the end “with more than enough reserves to have a sufficiently high negotiating space” for the administration that will succeed it. “There are two weeks left, but the total reserves are going to border the 45 billion dollars,” said Lacunza, who at the same time considered that “the debt reprofiling must be done quickly and voluntarily.” For Lacunza, the country’s debt “is not high, it is 70% of GDP”, but clarified: “It is the result of the deficit of the past.”
