The Government made official a 6% increase in gas tariffs as of June. In May, the freeze on electricity rates that had been in effect since December 2019 lifted, a 9% increase was authorized for the distributors Edenor and Edesur.
The Buenos Aires Stock Exchange closed its best month in almost a year, rising almost 21% during May, driven by shares of the financial sector, YPF and Telecom, which jumped up to 33%.
